Clear Tempered
Completely lost my temper in a bank?
Went to my bank yesterday with my daughter, who has learning difficulties, and the staff were even more unhelpful than usual with her accounts. I completely blew my top, I shouted, I swore, and stormed out. Is this inexcusable? Should we always remain steadfastly polite and courteous, regardless of the service we receive? Or should we make it absolutely crystal clear that the service we have received is crap?
I wouldn’t have made a scene in front of your daughter, the people I know with learning difficulties are very sensitive to things going wrong and get very upset because they think THEY might be the cause of YOU being upset.
On the other hand I would have gone back on my own and really given them hell. Banks have gone from the hallowed halls that you went to in trepidation ( and best suit and tie ) to a money grabbing facility that hits you with rules if you even step out of line once. I went into the bank to arrange an overdraught which I needed to change cars. I paid it off within a month but a few months later went over a few pounds and they hit me with charges saying it was just for that specific purchase and not an ongoing thing !!!
Go and shout at them………..but on your own……..and change bank..
