Is Denver a good place for the Democratic National Convention?
It seems that, as of today, the AFL-CIO is trying to put the convention somewhere else because of a recent veto by Colorado’s governor of a pro-union bill. Either way, I think Denver is an odd choice for the Democrats. Denver is a relatively conservative city in a conservative state and it just seems a little weird to have the Democrats there. Colorado has a big military presence, Focus on the Family, and a robust evangelical population. Doesn’t sound so Democratic to me.
But what do you think?
Well, the city of Denver essentially legalized marijuana by declaring it a non-priority for law enforcement last year, so I think it’s a fantastic choice!!
